WCTC and Carroll University have been valuable partners for years, helping students reach their academic goals.

Carroll University is proud to announce the expansion of its partnership with Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) to enhance transfer pathways for students seeking to pursue bachelor’s degrees in various fields. Articulation agreements between two-year and four-year institutions play a crucial role in facilitating seamless transitions for students.

These partnerships with two-year institutions are important to students as they:

  • Provide opportunity for career and economic advancement
  • Guarantee transfer of credits into specific areas of study
  • Offer a financially advantageous alternative

With the decline in traditional-age college students, transfer pathways have become increasingly important in higher education. The articulation agreements help positively impact the university by enhancing non-traditional enrollment, generating additional revenue and contributing to Goal 1 of the Higher Education Regional Alliance (HERA).

The longstanding partnership between Carroll University and WCTC has been a cornerstone for Waukesha County residents seeking local options for higher education. Since 1998, Carroll University has established articulation agreements with WCTC, offering pathways in Accounting, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Human Services and Education. These agreements have garnered significant interest among students over the years. Additionally, Carroll has recently signed articulation agreements with WCTC to include:

  • Leadership Development to Management Development
  • Criminal Justice Studies to Criminal Justice
  • Health Information Technology to Healthcare Administration
  • Computer Science and Video Game Design

The current agreements with WCTC guarantee junior standing for students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree, provided they meet the appropriate program and grade requirements. This acknowledgment reflects the commitment of both institutions to recognize the preparation of WCTC students and support their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.

"We are excited to continue our collaboration with WCTC,” said [Name], [Title] at Carroll University. "Our ever-increasing partnership has opened doors for countless students, and we remain dedicated to providing accessible pathways for academic success."

Carroll University is actively exploring new opportunities for collaboration with WCTC, particularly in areas such as the School of Business and the School of Education and Human Services. These initiatives aim to broaden the range of transfer pathways available to students and further strengthen the partnership between the two institutions.
